Set the requirements, test the preparation page, then copy the HTML into your website’s custom HTML block. If your editor does not accept HTML, choose “Link only” and use its built-in button or link tool. Place it beside your upload instructions, and check it on a phone.
What happens to my visitor’s file?+
PDF and image preparation runs in the visitor’s browser. File contents and filenames are not sent to 1234File’s backend or shared with you by this button. Visitors download the result and submit it through your existing upload field. Normal hosting requests still occur. Read our privacy policy.
Does it submit the file into my form?+
The button opens a new tab and keeps your form in place. Visitors choose their file, prepare and download a copy, then return to your tab to upload it. No scripts, account connection or automatic form access are required on your website.
Which requirements can it handle?+
Choose a required PDF, JPG or PNG output; a maximum file size from 10 KB to 25 MB; and optional exact image dimensions or a PDF page limit. Inputs are PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP for PDF output, and JPG, PNG or WebP for image output. Up to 25 MB per input, 10 inputs / 80 MB total for a PDF, and 40 PDF pages. HEIC, Office documents and password-protected PDFs are not supported in this preparation flow.
Will every file fit?+
Some size targets cannot be reached at acceptable quality. We check the actual output format, byte size, and any configured dimensions or page limit, and clearly report unmet requirements. The receiving website still validates the submission, including content and rules this tool cannot check. Visitors should review the downloaded copy and keep their original.
What if my requirements change?+
Create a new button and replace the old link on your website. The requirements are contained in each link; changing this builder does not update buttons you already installed. Do not put applicant names, email addresses or other private data in the website/form-name field.
Is it free for my website and visitors?+
Yes. Creating a button and preparing files in this flow are free. No registration, payment details, watermark or advertising interruption. Shared browser and file limits apply. This version uses 1234File branding.
